I love podcasts, so I’ve decided to share a few of my favorite geek-centric podcasts with heavy female presence for our readers to enjoy, whether it be on your commute trip to work or during your down time at home. This list of top geek podcasts ranges from gaming, pop culture, true crime, and even a radio play for those who are more narrative-focused. I hope you give these podcasts a chance! Happy listening!

Splintered Caravan

Splintered Caravan is a cyberpunk audio drama. The story follows the characters Triten, Caylek, and Lialle, a group of outcasts scraping by and taking mercenary contracts that professionals won’t take. Everything goes haywire when they join a caravan. The podcast has pretty great drama set in an interesting and vibrant world. The ensemble cast is funny and vulnerable, and offers interesting and atypical female characters! The entire first season is available for your enjoyment.

What’s Good Games

The What’s Good Games podcast is a video game podcast hosted by Andrea Rene, Alexa Ray Corriea, Brittney Brombacher, and Kristine Steimer. The podcast is a deep dive into the latest gaming news. They are funny and give a different, insightful perspective on video games.

How to Be a Person

How To Be a Person is a podcast where hosts Mike Drucker and Jess Dweck invite their friends and colleagues to teach them normal everyday things like How to Avoid Facebook Fights (ep 96) and How to Be Roommates (ep 138). They have interesting takes on every subject and give some great common sense advice about living one’s life.

Riverdale Round-up

It stars Jacky Zebrowski, Molly Knefel, and Marcus Parks as they discuss the CW show “Riverdale,” providing hilarious commentary on the good, the bad, and the ridiculous of its plot lines.
