LeakyCon announced Alison Sudol’s appearance as a last-minute addition to the already-stellar lineup of celebrity guests. She joined her co-star Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) as part of the lineup. Her panel was held on Friday August 10 afternoon, Binge Mode podcast co-hosts Mallory Rubin and Jason Concepcion moderated her panel, and we got the scoop!
Rubin and Concepcion asked Alison about her decision to break into the acting industry back in 2014 and how she felt about making that transition from singing to acting.
@AlisonSudol talks about her transition from singing to acting a few years back. "What I found is important is getting touch with who you are and what you want to say." #LeakyCon #leakycon2018 #FantasticBeasts

Such wise words!
Alison talked about some behind-the-scenes experiences about her time on the set of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them with director David Yates.
"I did all this work with a dialect coach… & David the director said 'could we dial back the accent?' somewhere in me is a girl in her 20s in Brooklyn" @AlisonSudol says #LeakyCon #leakycon2018

When asked about her character Queenie Goldstein, Alison had a lot to say about understanding Queenie and her magical and emotional abilities.

@AlisonSudol says Queenie spent her whole life being normal & doesn't recognize her gift as a power. "In some ways, it sort of endearing… What's the most special about us is what we're self-conscious about." #LeakyCon #leakycon2018

Ultimately, you should embrace everything about yourself and take care of yourself mentally.
"Queenie's always looking out. She's listening, tuning in. There's not alot of room for self-consciousness… It's a real gift. In my life, I get stuck in my own head," @AlisonSudol says @LeakyCon #FantasticBeasts #LeakyCon #LeakyCon2018

With the sequel Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Against Grindelwald hitting theaters in November, Alison couldn’t say much about it for obvious reasons. But she gave a small hint about Queenie…
The story is getting darker. Is Queenie's ability going to be a gift, a burden? @AlisonSudol says it's interesting to see Queenie evolve & tap into her essence for the 2nd film: "That power is very key." #FantasticBeasts @LeakyCon

Rubin and Concepcion asked about Queenie’s relationships with her love interest Jacob and her sister Tina.
"You can see they have true affection for each other & have things in common… We need love," @AlisonSudol. @binge_mode's @MalloryRubin reminds her "we also need baked goods." @LeakyCon #FantasticBeasts #leakycon2018

"That sister relationship was important to me, I don't have sisters," @AlisonSudol says about Queenie and Tina #FantasticBeasts @LeakyCon #LeakyCon2018
