Felicia Day, Queen of Geek

Interview: Felicia Day talks ‘Embrace Your Weird’

Felicia Day is an actress, web series creator, podcaster, author, mother, and pretty much the Queen of Geek. Her screen credits alone cross over so many of our favorite fandoms. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, The Guild, Doctor Horrible… just to name a few. These were just the very beginning of Felicia creating a place for not only herself but all the geek gals around the world.

Felicia Day’s new book, Embrace Your Weird: Face Your Fears and Unleash Creativity, releases on Tuesday, Oct. 1. We had the opportunity to interview Felicia Day on the phone about the book.

Her first book, You’re Never Weird On The Internet…Almost, which released four years ago, served as a self-help book for myself. But it also left me wanting more. I knew that Felicia had so much wisdom to share not only about the wonderfully geeky world we love so much but also about her journey to self-discovery. She fought through depression, anxiety, social awkwardness, stereotypes, and even a pretty significant gaming addiction to get where she is today and she’s hoping her new book will be a friend to help guide you on your own personal journey.
