Dallas Fan Days is a three-day comic con that celebrates sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and more. Every fall, the team behind Fan Expo Dallas hosts panels, family-friendly activities, photo booths, and other geek-related fun. This year’s guests included Firefly’s Adam Baldwin, A Series of Unfortunate Events’ Patrick Warbartun, and more. Comic con artists from all over the state and country come here to display their art and love for all things geek. The convention took place from Oct. 18-20 at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.
https://tenor.com/embed.jsI attended Dallas Fan Days for the first time. And it was also the first time I attended a major convention in general. The energy at the convention was great and the people there–attendees, volunteers, crew members, vendors, and artists–were even better. I had the opportunity to see a many of different characters from anime to Marvel films come to life. I saw cosplays on and off the Cosplay Red Carpet, which took place on Oct. 19.

Some of my personal favorite cosplays were a family of different Spider-Man characters from the Into the Spider-Verse. A little girl who dressed up as Sam from the horror movie Trick ‘r Treat caught my eye. Her cosplay was adorable. The variation of genres colliding from comics to horror in cosplays was an experience I’ll never forget!
