We get that. 😉 ☕️ With Geek Gals, you’ll get a real-world, hands-on experience of our weekly operations. The ideal intern is optimistic and wants to learn real-world experience. The ideal intern should also be interested in geek and pop culture to fully grasp the understanding of the Geek Gals brand and audience.

Here are our internship listings (all positions located in Dallas, TX):

Gaming Culture Reporter Intern

Interns will work closely with Geek Gals editors to research, report, write and produce our geek culture coverage. They also learn about the workings of an online news and entertainment site.

The Gaming Culture Reporter Intern will assist with the following: writing and editing articles, planning the editorial calendar, and working on content-type expansion. The intern will learn how to write for the web, how to write for a tailored audience, and how to conduct proper research on sources.

The internship is for Spring 2019 and the intern will work maximum 10 hours per week.

Anime Reporter Intern

Interns will work closely with Geek Gals editors to research, report, write and produce our geek culture coverage. They also learn about the workings of an online news and entertainment site.

The Anime Reporter Intern will assist with the following: writing and editing articles, planning the editorial calendar, and working on content-type expansion. The intern will learn how to write for the web, how to write for a tailored audience, and how to conduct proper research on sources.

The internship is for Spring 2019 and the intern will work maximum 10 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Applicants should be proficient in using Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Applicants should have a 3.0 GPA or higher and be in good standing at his/her university.
