Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, creators and actresses of Comedy Central’s iconic series Broad City, attended South By Southwest (SXSW) for the screening of the series’ final three episodes. The screening took place on Sunday, March 10 at the ZACH Theatre across from downtown Austin.
https://tenor.com/embed.jsBroad City began as a web series in 2009 and then Comedy Central picked it up in 2014. The show has lasted five seasons and is currently on its fifth and final season. The fifth season began airing on Jan. 24, 2019. Broad City is based on Glazer and Jacobson’s real-life friendship. The show has also touched on topics such as privilege, feminism, dating, and representation of the LGBTQ community. Glazer and Jacobson are also the executive producers of the series, as well as Amy Poehler, Dave Becky, Tony Hernandez, and Samantha Saifer.
