Last year when we attended Fan Expo Dallas, I got to see Morena Baccarin’s panel. This year, the hardworking team behind one of the largest comic cons in Dallas brought in Baccarin’s Firefly co-star Summer Glau!
Summer Glau’s panel took place on Saturday May 4 at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in downtown Dallas. Moderator Devin Pike led the panel to interview Glau and allow questions from fans in the audience. Just a little bit about Summer first…
Bio
https://tenor.com/embed.jsSummer Glau is a sci-fi and fantasy television icon. She is best known for her roles as River Tam in Joss Whedon’s Firefly and its movie sequel Serenity. Glau’s other acting roles include Tess Doerner in The 4400, Cameron/Allison Young in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Skylar Adams in Alphas, and Isabel Rochev / Ravager in Arrow.
Glau also guest starred in an episode of CBS’s sitcom The Big Bang Theory once where she played herself and Raj and Howard were fighting about approaching her on the train. It was hilarious. Enjoy a clip below.

Recap
What’s coming up for Summer Glau?
In the world of constant reboots and show revivals, the moderator of the panel asked Summer Glau if there was any possibility of Firefly coming back… But alas, actors are usually the last to know.
Summer Glau talks about her time with her late co-star Ron Glass, who portrayed the spiritual Shepherd Book on Firefly and its sequel film Serenity.
Speaking of the sequel film Serenity… Most of us fans can say that it wasn’t what we expected. And Summer Glau pretty much agreed on that sentiment.
A fan from the audience asked Summer Glau what she’s been up to outside of acting. She’s been quite busy: enjoying time with her daughters and learning new things!
Back to Firefly: a fan asks what was her favorite episode to work on from the show.
“Objects in Space” was the last episode on Firefly. Here’s a clip:
Another fan asks “Which story didn’t get enough credit?” This was a fantastic question and while every character had such rich backgrounds and personalities, Summer Glau landed back on her late co-star Ron Glass.
